ClubsChess ("we", "us", or "our") is an online chess gaming platform operated in the Republic of South Africa. Our platform allows users to play chess against other players and computer opponents, participate in club-based competitions, and access premium features through paid subscriptions.
By registering an account or using the ClubsChess platform at clubschess.com, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create a ClubsChess account. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

ClubsChess offers the following paid products:
All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Payments are processed securely by PayFast. By completing a purchase, you also agree to PayFast's terms of service.
Access to premium features is granted immediately upon successful payment confirmation.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorise us to charge your payment method on file for each renewal period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings or by emailing support@clubschess.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you will retain access until then.
All content on ClubsChess — including logos, graphics, user interface designs, club artwork, and software — is the property of ClubsChess or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
ClubsChess is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose of the platform. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, ClubsChess and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or any other pecuniary loss.
Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you paid to ClubsChess in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Your use of ClubsChess is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, without prior notice and without refund. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@clubschess.com.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
